2008 New Mazda 2 Review

Cars, just like humans seem to add weight as they get older, with each facelift the pounds get added, so its nice to see the new Mazda 2 has been on a diet and has shed almost 100 kg. On its own this may not sound a massive feat, but when you take into consideration itÂ?s safer than the previous model and has more equipment, it shows that Mazda really have bucked the trend with there new super mini.

With the loss of all that weight, the new Mazda 2 feels crisp and responsive on the road, parking is a doddle and as an overall package it should prove a match to most of its rivals and that includes the Fiesta and the Corsa. Out of town the 2 copes well with bumps and lumps and the ride is comfortable but still sure-footed.

Hopefully the new Mazda 2 will set a trend amongst the other car manufacturers and instead of always getting bigger they will trim a little of the fat that has been added over the years, after all, its better for the environment and ultimately for the driver, hats off to Mazda for giving back a little Zoom Zoom.
