2008 Peugeot 207 ReviewThe latest edition to the range of Peugeot's 2 series line up is the new Peugeot 207. The 207 is the first Peugeot to be fitted with the new PSA Peugeot Citroen / BMW Group joint venture engines and at launch will be available with a choice of six either petrol or diesel units. Built as a successor to the ever-popular 206, the 207 however, will not replace Peugeot's most successful model ever and will run alongside it in the ever-expanding 2 series range. Available at launch as either a three or five door hatchback, although you can expect Peugeot to add models to the range in the near future, the 207 begins its life with four trim levels for the three door and five different levels of trim for the five door, so with the combination of engines and trim levels you are sure to be able to find a 207 to suit your exact needs. The 207 is built on the same platform as the innovative 1007, however the structure of the 207 was designed not only to meet the impact levels sustained in the Euro ncap tests, but to exceed them. It's little wonder then that it scores a maximum five out of five in its Euro ncap passenger safety test. Add to this that the 207 is one of the first vehicles designed specifically to meet the European standard for impact with a pedestrian and you have one of the safest cars in its class. With its amazing looks and fantastic safety record you can expect the 207 to follow hot on the heels of its 206 sibling in quickly becoming one of Peugeots favourite supermini's.
