2008 New Peugeot 407 Review
The 407 had a difficult job in replacing the 406, but give Peugeot credit, the 407's distinctive gaping grille and sleek lines combine to give look like no other.
Aimed at people who spend a lot of time in their cars, the Peugeot 407 is designed to be comfortable, spacious and above all safe and with a five out of five star Euro ncap rating you can be sure you will arrive at your destination securely. Although Peugeot have obviously targeted the 407 at the company car driver, they haven't forgot the passengers, because after all we all have families.
With an all-new aluminium double wishbone front suspension system the 407 handles extremely well and add to that that all models have electronic gadgetry, which coordinates anti-skid brakes, brake assist, brake force distribution and stability control to give you an exceptionally stable ride. Also standard on all 407 models are seven airbags including drivers knee airbag and curtain airbags to the front and rear side windows.
Four petrol engines are available a 1.8, a 2.0, a 2.2, and 3.0 litre V6, or you have a choice of two diesel units, a 1.6 110bhp or a 2.0 litre 136bhp version. Combine this with four levels of trim and you can be sure there will be a 407 to suit your exact needs.
