2008 New Seat Altea XL Review
Although the Seat Altea has plenty of room for the passengers, one small niggle has come to the fore, can we have a little bit more boot and storage space, the answer is simple the new Altea XL. Just under 19 cm's longer than the standard Altea, the XL's boot space increases from 409 litres to 532 litres, however in the XL the rear seats can also slide forward up to a maximum of 14 cm's giving a further boost to the boot space up to 635 litres which Seat claim is better than any of its competitors in the class.
Powered by the same choice of engines available in the standard Altea and to all intents and purposes the same trim levels, you may be forgiven for wondering why Seat bothered, well, again, it all goes back to storage, the Altea may be fine for a family but it does let itself down when it comes to carrying five adults and this is where the XL comes into its own.
Like the looks of the new Seat Altea XL, why not check out the the Citroen Xsara Picasso , the Toyota Corolla Verso , the Peugeot 307 SW , the VW Touran, the VW Golf Plus or the Vauxhall Zafira.
