2009 New Volkswagen Golf Plus Review
Everyone loves the Golf, with its five star Euro ncap rating and almost magical residual values, the Golf has for many years held a place close to many peoples hearts. The question for Volkswagen was where do you go when the family outgrows the car. Take a look at the new Golf plus it's a new slant on our old favorite, but a little bit bigger. With more space in the cabin and raised seating and that little bit more room all round, the Golf Plus is a welcome addition to the family.
Designed to fill the gap between the Golf and the Touran MPV, the new Golf Plus is everything you would expect from a Golf, but with that little bit more room, with the rear seat back as far as it will go the Golf Plus has 395 litres of luggage space as compared to the 350 litres for the Golf and with the rear seats folded flat this increases to 1450 litres with the Golf only having 1305.
Engines on the Golf Plus are much the same as it's smaller sibling (with the exception of the 197 bhp Gti unit), so the powerhouse is tried and tested and should give you the reliability you would expect from VW.
