2008 New Range Rover Review
Originally launched in 1970 the Range Rover had a makeover in 2003 at a point in time when BMW were in charge of the Land Rover brand and it shows. This is a luxury vehicle in every respect. Although BMW only held the Land Rover brand for a relatively short period of time before passing ownership to the ford motor group, their influence on the design is clear to be seen.
It's easy to forget that this luxury car is actually a two and a half tonne off roader that has all the off road ability you would expect from a Land Rover, then combine the outstanding levels of comfort and security and you have a vehicle that will keep you and your family safe and secure whether you're motorway driving or up to your axles in mud in the middle of a field.
Inside the cabin of the Range Rover you will notice one thing above all else, it's luxurious interior, from the beautiful leather upholstery to the touch screen that controls many of the major systems, the cabin of the range rover is more suited to a limousine than a 4x4. Add a four star Euro ncap rating and you can see, it's not just comfortable in there it's safe too.
Powered by a choice of two petrol's or a diesel engine, all Range Rover models benefit from air suspension, Hill descent control and dynamic stability control as well as a host of other features.
Like the looks of the Land Rover Range Rover, why not check out the BMW X5, the Volvo XC90 or the Toyota Land Cruiser.
