2009 New BMW 3 Series Touring Review
If you need more room than the saloon or the coupe then take a look at the BMW 3 Series Touring range, starting with the 320i ES and the 320d ES both are powered by 2.0 litre, four cylinder sixteen valve engines through a six speed manual transmission, with the diesel benefitting from common rail technology. The petrol engine develops 150 bhp whilst the deisel returns 163 bhp. Standard features on these two vehicles include 16" double spoke alloys (style 154), airbags - driver and front passenger, front side and ITS head airbags, brake force display, cornering brake control (CBC), dynamic brake control (DBC), dynamic stability control (DSC), dynamic traction control (DTC), electronic immobiliser (EWS III), front centre armrest with storage compartment, electric front and rear windows, remote control alarm, lashing eyes in luggage compartment, manual air conditioning, matt titanium interior trim, on board computer, BMW professional radio with single CD, auxiliary input for external devices (e.g. Apple ipod) and a loadspeaker system with six speakers and an umbrella holder in the luggage compartment.
Next level in the BMW 3 Series Touring range are the special equipment models, the 320i SE and the 320d SE, standard equipment in addition to the BMW 3 Series ES models include, 16" double spoke alloys (style 156), automatic air con.,auto dimming rear view mirror stalk mounted cruise control, interior light pack, multi function steering wheel and rear park distance control (PDC).
The BMW 3 Series Touring 325i SE, as with the saloon is powered by a six-cylinder 24 valve petrol engine benefiting from valvetronic technology, developing 218 bhp through a six speed manual gearbox. Standard equipment in addition to the 320i SE include 17" star spoke alloy wheels (style 158), cruise control with brake function, rain sensor including automatic headlight control, rear centre armrest and twin tail pipes.
The BMW 3 Series 330d SE, 330i SE and the M sport models all benefit from the same specification as the saloon models, but with those small extra refinements that are exclusive to the Touring range.
