2009 New Audi A8 Review
The new Audi A8 is Audi's flagship model, understated in many respects, the A8 is non-the less a technological marvel. As you would expect, Audi have used the A8 to showcase their German engineering prowess and you won't be disappointed.
With adaptive air suspension the Audi A8 handles like a sports car with the ride of a luxury saloon, the suspension has four settings, which adapt and adjust depending on the road conditions and driving style, firming up when taking corners and softening when motorway driving. The air suspension can be set using Audi's Multi Media Interface, this cleverly designed unit that retracts into the dash when not in use also controls the audio and navigation systems via a seven inch monitor. The Audi Quattro four-wheel drive system is also standard on all Audi A8 models resulting in fantastic road holding in all weather conditions.
As always safety is a priority for Audi and the A8 is no exception, anti lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, a stability control system that helps to prevent accidents before they happen, eight airbags and a head restraint system that moves automatically to help stop whiplash in the event of a rear impact all combine to make the Audi A8 one of the of safest cars in it's class.
With a choice of five engines and a standard specification list that's just to long to mention (it would be quicker to say what you don't get as standard) the new Audi A8 really is a beautifully built luxury saloon.
